Some Searches are more challenging than others – especially in this case.
An internationally operating US based IT company was looking to replace the General Manager in Romania.

We had a discussion with the positions’ direct superior to get a further briefing about the role, the detailed profile ....

...focusing on performance and expected achievements for short, mid and long-term. Starting with this approach in mind we focused our search on identifying people matching the profile, directly approaching them and “selling” the career opportunity and potential development path within this organization.

The special challenge was the requested international experience. We decided to carry out this search EMEA and US wide especially for Romanians with experience in matrix organized high-tech companies willing to return to Romania. We developed an international list of target companies agreed with our client and researched with the support of some colleagues names of potential candidates using our network, their contacts, LinkedIn and some other sources. We reported weekly. After six weeks we have spoken to more than 20 managers via “GoToMeeting” and finally had personal meetings with 5 of them. 3 of them met the profile completely and 2 of them additionally demonstrated passion for taking over this position.

Appr. 8 weeks after getting this assignment we discussed all shortlisted candidates with our client and presented finally the top 3 at the HQ – one week after the parties signed the contract. This professional approach and outstanding performance shown by Ana Ber, our Romanian partner, was one reason for awarding her with the “P&P teamwork excellence award 2017”.
